What a boost does
- Your profile appears among the first people see on Discover, the home page and Explore.
- You get a gold "Spotlight" tag while the boost is live.
- You can boost for an hour, a day or a whole weekend.
What a boost never does
A boost only reaches people who could already see you. It never shows you to someone outside their age range, the wrong gender or against their preferences. And to keep Discover fair, boosted profiles appear at most once in every few cards.
Who can boost
Only verified members can boost. That keeps paid visibility out of the hands of fake accounts. Boosts are paid with credits from your credits wallet, and Premium plans include free boosts every month — see pricing. You can also earn a free boost every 30 days with a daily streak.
When to boost
- Evenings and weekends, when most Heartseekers are online.
- Right after you update your profile — new photos, a fresh bio, a video introduction.
- When you've been quiet for a while and want to get back in front of people.
Get the most from a boost
- Make sure your main photo is strong — read a profile that stands out.
- Answer your prompts so people have something to reply to.
- Stay online during the boost so you can reply to new matches quickly.
Is a boost worth it?
A boost brings more eyes to your profile; your profile does the rest. If your photos and bio are clear and honest, a boost can lead to more matches with people who suit you. If not, start with an expert profile review first.
