On every profile in Discover you'll see a compatibility percentage and a few reasons you might click. It's one of the most useful parts of SeekMyHeart — as long as you understand what it is, and what it isn't.
An estimate, not a verdict
The score is an honest estimate based on what you and the other person have told us. It cannot measure chemistry, kindness or the way someone laughs. Think of it as a smart starting point that helps you spend your time on people who are more likely to want the same life as you.
The five things it looks at
- Mutual preferences — age, location and the things each of you said you are looking for.
- Relationship intentions — marriage, a long-term relationship or getting to know someone first. Matching intentions matter a lot.
- Compatibility questions — your answers on values, family, money and communication, weighted by how important each one is to you.
- Shared interests — the hobbies and passions you both picked.
- Lifestyle — things like faith practice, children, smoking and drinking.

Why it works in both directions
A lot of apps only ask "does this person fit what I want?" SeekMyHeart also asks "do I fit what they want?" Someone only scores highly if the match works for both of you. That's why a person who looks perfect on paper may show a modest score — they may be looking for something different.
Dealbreakers count far more
When you answer a compatibility question, you can mark it as a dealbreaker. Dealbreakers weigh much more than ordinary preferences. If you try to like someone who clashes with one of their dealbreakers — or yours — we ask "are you sure?" first, so nobody wastes their time.
"Worth talking about"
Alongside the reasons you might click, profiles show differences that are worth discussing early — for example, different views on where to live after marriage. These aren't red flags. They're conversation topics that many couples only discover months in.
How to get more accurate scores
- Answer more questions. Each answer gives the estimate more to work with. See how to answer compatibility questions well.
- Be honest about what matters. If faith is central to your life, say so — and mark it important.
- Keep your intentions up to date in your profile.
Use it wisely
A high score is a good reason to start a conversation. A lower score is not a reason to rule someone out — especially if you share things the questions can't capture. Read profiles properly, look at the "worth talking about" section, and let real conversations do the rest.

Common questions
Why is my score with someone lower than I expected?
The score works both ways. You may fit what you want from them, but they may be looking for something different — a different intention, age range or answer to an important question.
Can I see the score before I like someone?
Yes. Every card in Discover shows the estimated compatibility and the main reasons you might click, and the full profile shows more detail.
Does a high score mean we will get on?
Not necessarily. It means you agree on many of the things you both said matter. Chemistry, kindness and timing can only be discovered by talking.
Can paying improve my score?
No. Scores come only from what you and the other person have shared. Premium plans add filters and features, but never change anyone’s compatibility.
